Acer platanoides 'Globosum'

Acer platanoides 'Globosum'

Norway maple

Slow growth and a naturally rounded crown define this deciduous Norway maple, whose green leaves turn yellow before falling. It stays at 5 to 7 m tall and 3 to 4 m wide, is hardy to zone 4, and holds its compact ball shape with very little pruning.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
