Agapanthus 'Northern Star'®
African lily
Blue umbels are held above a tidy clump of strap leaves on this named agapanthus. Grown in full sun with good drainage it flowers steadily, and it takes well to container culture where winter wet would otherwise be a risk.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
