Aralia sieboldi (fatsia japonica)
Japanese aralia
Broad, glossy palmate leaves are held on arching, light yellow-green stems, building an evergreen shrub of generous, spreading outline. Growth is slow, so the shape stays dense with little intervention. Shade and half-shade suit it, and there the leaves keep their full green.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
