Phyllostachys 'Bissettii'

Bamboo

Dark green canes and plain green leaves give 'Bissettii' a quiet, uniform look; its value lies in toughness rather than colour. Canes reach up to about 6 m and the clump withstands severe cold, down to around -24 degrees, which makes it one of the safer bamboos for exposed sites.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
