Calocedrus decurrens
Incense cedar
Calocedrus decurrens grows as a narrow column of flattened, dark green sprays, reaching 15-20 m with a spread of only 4-6 m. The vertical outline holds without pruning, which makes the tree valuable for avenues and for marking corners in large gardens. Hardy to zone 7.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
