Cedrus deodara 'Aurea'

Golden Himalayan Cedar

Golden-needled form of the Himalayan cedar, weeping in aspect, with the yellow tone held most strongly on the new growth. Smaller than the type at 8–12 m by 5–7 m and hardy to zone 8, it needs a sunny site for the colour and shelter from cold wind.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
