Clerodendrum trichotomum

Clerodendrum trichotomum

Harlequin Glorybower

White flowers open in August and September on a deciduous shrub of 3–5 m by 2–3 m, hardy to zone 7A. It flowers late in the season, when little else among woody plants is in bloom, and forms a loose, upright bush that can be trained on a short stem.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
