Edgeworthia chrysantha
Paperbush
Clusters of small, sweetly scented flowers open at the ends of the bare shoots in late winter and early spring, ahead of the dark green leaves. Edgeworthia chrysantha makes an open, rounded deciduous shrub of 2 to 2.5 metres by 1.5 to 2 metres for a sheltered position.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
