Elaeagnus angustifolia 'Caspica'
Russian olive
Much like the species in size and habit, at 5 to 7 metres tall and 4 to 6 metres wide, but the branches carry no thorns. That single difference makes 'Caspica' the easier choice along paths, in car park planting and anywhere the beds are worked regularly.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
