Forsythia intermedia 'Linwood'
Forsythia
Deciduous shrub of upright habit, covered in yellow flowers on bare stems before the leaves break. The strong vertical shoots make renewal simple, since old wood can be cut to the base, and the plant serves well in informal hedges or at the back of a shrub border.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
