Lagerstroemia 'Superviolacea'
Crape myrtle
The darkest of the mauve selections, 'Superviolacea' flowers in a deep purple that gains from being seen against light stone or a pale wall. It is deciduous and reaches 4-6 m in height and width. As with all crape myrtles, warmth and full sun are needed for good flowering.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
