Metasequoia glyptostroboides
Dawn redwood
A deciduous conifer: the soft green needles turn bronze in autumn and fall together with the short side shoots. It grows quickly into a narrow, conical tree of 25-35 m with a fluted, fibrous trunk. Hardy to zone 6B and happiest on deep soil that stays moist.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
