Morus nigra
Black mulberry
Black mulberry ripens dark fruit on a broad-crowned deciduous tree of 6-10 m high and 4-8 m wide. Old specimens develop a leaning trunk and heavy, gnarled branches. Hardy to zone 5; plant it away from paving and seating, since the fruit stains.

Delivery & establishment
Plants are delivered by refrigerated transport from Pistoia. Large specimens are shipped on pallets; delivery is quoted per order. We can advise on planting season and establishment for any item in the range.
About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
