Perowskia atriplicifolia
Russian sage
Grey-green foliage, deeply cut and aromatic when brushed, covers this shrub through the season. Panicles of lavender-blue flowers open in autumn above the pale stems. A dry, sunny position brings out both the scent and the leaf colour.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
