trifoliate orange
Thorny deciduous tree with trifoliate green leaves that take on purple tones in autumn. White flowers are followed by small yellow fruit, which are not edible. The stout spines make it effective as a barrier or a defensive hedge.

Delivery & establishment

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
