Syringa vulgaris 'Charles Joly'
Lilac
Double flowers of dark red fill the panicles and hold their colour well as they open. The shrub is upright and deciduous, with the broad heart-shaped leaves typical of the common lilac. It flowers on wood formed the previous year, so pruning follows straight after bloom.

Delivery & establishment
Plants are delivered by refrigerated transport from Pistoia. Large specimens are shipped on pallets; delivery is quoted per order. We can advise on planting season and establishment for any item in the range.
About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
