Taxus media 'Hicksii'
'Hicksii' is an upright, broadly columnar yew with dark green evergreen needles held densely from the base. It reaches 2-3 m tall and 1-2 m wide, a workable scale for a clipped hedge or a screen at eye level. Hardy to zone 5B and tolerant of shade.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
