Thuja occidentalis 'Danica'

White cedar

A dwarf arborvitae that makes a neat sphere of light green foliage, reaching about 1 m in each direction. The vertically held sprays give the ball a fine, textured surface without any clipping. Hardy to zone 5A and useful in low edging, containers and rock gardens.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
