Viburnum lucidum
A large evergreen viburnum grown mainly for its glossy green foliage, dense from the base and reaching 4-5 m tall and 3-4 m wide. It takes clipping and is often kept as a tall hedge or a screen. Hardy to zone 8B, so it needs a mild position.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
