Acer palmatum 'Skeeter’s Broom'
Japanese maple
Red spring foliage deepens to a scarlet burgundy in autumn on this narrow, compact maple. It stays at 2.5 to 3.5 m and is hardy to zone 6B, which makes it one of the easier red-leaved forms to place in a small garden.

Delivery & establishment

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
