Giant reed
Giant reed throws up thick canes to 4-5 m, clothed in long, linear green leaves that arch outward in two ranks. Evergreen and hardy to zone 7, it serves as a fast screen or windbreak on damp ground, where its running rhizome needs room or restraint.

Plants are delivered by refrigerated transport from Pistoia. Large specimens are shipped on pallets; delivery is quoted per order. We can advise on planting season and establishment for any item in the range.
About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
