Betula jacquemontii (utilis)
Himalayan birch
White bark on both trunk and main branches is the reason for planting Betula jacquemontii; against dark green summer foliage the effect is clean and architectural. A medium deciduous tree of 8-10 m by 5-6 m, hardy to zone 6A and often set in threes or fives.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
