Betula pendula 'Youngii'

Betula pendula 'Youngii'

Young's weeping birch

Branches hang almost vertically, so 'Youngii' forms a domed, weeping outline of 5-8 m in height and 4-6 m across. Green leaves turn clear yellow in autumn and drop to reveal the fine, pendulous shoot structure beneath. Deciduous and hardy to zone 2.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
