Hibiscus 'Marina'

Rose of Sharon

Clear blue single flowers are carried along the upright shoots of this deciduous shrub, which reaches 2-3.5 m tall and 2-2.5 m across. The simple flower shape and the strong colour make it a straightforward choice for sunny borders and low informal hedges.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
