Juniperus chinensis 'Blue Alps'

Chinese juniper

'Blue Alps' holds an upright outline clothed in silvery blue-grey foliage. It settles at around 1.5 m tall and 1.5-2 m across, so it reads as a broad erect mound rather than a narrow column. Hardy to zone 5B, it works in gravel plantings and mixed conifer groups.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
