Juniperus chinensis 'Parsonii'
Chinese juniper
The shoots of 'Parsonii' run outward along the ground instead of upward, forming a creeping mat of blue-green foliage. Planted in quantity it gives an even low cover on banks and over retaining walls, where the branch tips hang across the edge. Full sun and sharp drainage suit it best.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
