Juniperus sabina 'Tamaricifolia'

Savin juniper

Dark green foliage on strictly horizontal branches gives 'Tamaricifolia' a layered, tiered profile. It is grown as ground cover on dry banks and over rough ground, where the tightly held shoots knit together into a continuous surface. Full sun and a well-drained soil suit it.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
