Pennisetum alopecuroides 'Burgundy Giant'
Fountain grass
Red-purple foliage is the main feature, the broad blades held in a loose upright clump. Purple plumes rise clear of the leaves and give the planting height and movement. A perennial grass that works in drifts, in mixed borders, or as a single accent in a large container.

Delivery & establishment
Plants are delivered by refrigerated transport from Pistoia. Large specimens are shipped on pallets; delivery is quoted per order. We can advise on planting season and establishment for any item in the range.
About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
