Picea glauca 'Conica'

Picea glauca 'Conica'

dwarf Alberta spruce

Dense cone of fine green needles, so tightly branched that the outline looks clipped. Growth is slow, and only after many years does the plant reach 3-4 m by about 2 m. Hardy to zone 4, often used in pairs by an entrance or in large containers.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
