Robinia pseudoacacia 'Pyramidalis'

Black locust

A fastigiate false acacia, deciduous, with branches held steeply upward and dark green pinnate leaves that turn yellow before falling. It can reach 20-25 m in height. The narrow young outline suits avenues and streets where a tall, tidy tree is required.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
