Magnolia × loebneri 'Merril'
Loebner magnolia
Large white star-shaped flowers are the feature of this deciduous magnolia. It forms a rounded, densely twiggy shrub of roughly 3-6 m in both height and spread. Moist, well-drained soil in sun or light shade suits it, and shelter keeps the flowers in good condition.

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
