Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula'

Fagus sylvatica 'Pendula'

Weeping beech

The weeping beech builds a heavy, wide frame of 15-25 m in height and spread, with branches that arch over and often hang right down to the ground. Autumn brings the brown colouring of the species. Given room it forms a domed, sheltering mass and belongs on its own. Zone 5.

Delivery & establishment

About sizes
CLT is a container volume in litres, VRL the same in a decorative red container. M is a field-grown plant lifted with its root ball, MGR the same grown in isolation and wire-balled. RN is bare root, available in the dormant season. T is a full standard and POT a planter. Heights are given as a range in centimetres; trunk girth is the circumference measured at one metre. A larger container is not always dearer: a trained or grafted form of the same volume costs more than a bush, and the form is named on the row.
